The 1976 photograph shows an abandoned house at 2465 Sperling Avenue. I was quite intrigued with it, and based what I considered my best photo essay around it. (Note the blurred figure on the front steps - that's actually someone in a cape running up the stairs.) As was to be expected with a house that was abandoned then, it was gone altogether when I returned in 2015. In its place was a newer and much less interesting dwelling. It faces east onto Sperling, rather than south as the original had. It seems to me like the misshapen tree in the upper right of both photos is the same one. Could that be possible?
